Starting today, you can now place orders for the IdeaPad Yoga 11S Ultrabook from www.lenovo.com and pre-order from Best Buy. Various models of the Yoga 11S will be available in Best Buy stores starting on June 23. The estimated retail price for the Intel Core i3 model is $799.99 (U.S.).

The Yoga 11S follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, Lenovo’s Yoga 13, and boasts an 11.6-inch HD IPS screen with 10-finger touch support. And like the Yoga 13, the Yoga 11S converts into four modes, including “tent,” as shown in the above photo. It can be used as like a laptop or folded and flipped to be used like a tablet.

Back in January, Tami Reller, our Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Financial Officer, joined me in a Q&A to provide an update on progress since the launch of Windows 8. Here we are now just past six months from general availability, so we thought it would be fitting to provide another update.

Brandon LeBlanc: It’s been several months since we announced that 60 million licenses of Windows 8 had been sold since general availability. Where are we now?

Microsoft account. Don’t worry—there’s no “accounting” needed. No spam or complicated processes either. Getting a Microsoft account is easy. And when you use it to sign in to your Windows 8 PC, it’s your key to free online storage, mobile entertainment, thousands of apps in the Windows store, free music streaming, and connecting your devices and accounts in a completely seamless way.
The great news is that you probably already have a Microsoft account—especially if you’ve ever used Outlook.com, Hotmail, Messenger, SkyDrive, Xbox, or MSN. That email address and password is your Microsoft account. You can also use a non-Microsoft email account. On your Windows 8 PC, go to Settings > Change PC Settings > Users and follow the instructions to connect your Microsoft account. If you don’t have an email address, you can get a free Outlook.com account and make that your new Microsoft account.
Once you have your Microsoft account, use it to sign in to your Windows 8 PC and you’ll get an entire world of awesomeness. Or at least these six awesome things:

One minute I am touching the screen while painting in my favorite app InspirARTion and then next I am using the keyboard to type an email to my mom. After spending the last week with the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13, there is one word that I would use to describe it--addicting.
The Yoga 13 is really unlike any PC that I have used before. At first glance it behaves like a normal laptop because it has a full sized screen and keyboard, but then it (almost magically) converts into a fun tablet with one simple fold.
When I first held it in my hands, the first thing that I noticed was how the outside felt. It is buttery smooth and surprisingly light. The palm rest on the keyboard has a very subtle texture and feel almost like leather when I ran my fingers across it--a nice touch that I had never quite felt before.

I’ve always been a fan of HP’s EliteBooks. I have previously used an EliteBook 2740p convertible tablet that I custom ordered from HP.com with its specs maxed out back in late 2010. The EliteBook 2740p was a true workhorse laptop and great for traveling and being on the go. Now today HP is unveiling the EliteBook Revolve.

The EliteBook Revolve is of course optimized for Windows 8 with a very slick design and some impressive specs:

As many of you may know, last week Internet Explorer introduced the newest in their series of HTML5 experiences. This time, they brought the heralded and beloved video game Contre Jour to the web. The game is based on the French phrase “against daylight,” and the app’s compelling design aesthetic blurs the lines between interactive art and gaming as players are transported into a beautiful, mysterious world. The game brings to the forefront what is possible with touch with Internet Explorer 10 in Windows 8 but also is a fun and engaging experience for those with non-touch devices. We will be talking about the game, the story behind the game and more during tomorrow’s Tech Tuesday Live Twitter Chat.
Plus, we will be shipping out a Vizio 14”Thin + Light PC to one of the people in the audience so that you two can have a chance to play! The Vizio Thin + Light PC is a great PC for every day usage and for those who like to secret away playing games for hours at a time.
